Leaving the trappings of success at home, twelve entrepreneurs head to Turkey for their first challenge. Whilst the winners of each leg return to the UK in style, the remaining contestants must continue, still with minimal means, to countries such as Egypt, Thailand and Italy to create a profitable business in five days. Industries they must tackle include sport and leisure, food and beverages, and the arts.
Episode 1: Istanbul – Youth
First stop is Istanbul where, working in pairs, they have five days to make as much profit as possible from the theme ‘youth’ – due to the high youth population there.
Episode 2: Berlin - The Arts
The group is to organize an event related to the arts or a performance in Berlin, well-known for its popular and plentiful arts scene.Episode 3: Cairo – Tourism
The millionaires create a product or an event aimed at tourists in Cairo where tourism is a booming , money-making industry.Episode 4: Naples - Food and Drink
Naples is renowned for their food. Let’s see how the contestants face the challenge of forming an F&B business.Episode 5: Bangkok - Sport and Leisure
Moving away from F&B in the last episode, the remaining contestants must now do the same for a country that is teeming with sports and leisure activities – Bangkok.Episode 6: Hong Kong - East meets West
One by one the entrepreneurs have been knocked out, through Cairo, Naples, Bangkok and Hong Kong – cities notoriously difficult for trading – until only two remain.In a nail-biting final standoff in Hong Kong, they must each declare, poker-style, how much profit they think they have made individually overall. But whose bottom-line will stack up, and who will be left as The Last Millionaire?
