Wednesdays at 9:05pm (SIN/HK); 8:05pm (JKT); 10:05pm (KOR) from 22nd September.
Jeremy, Richard and James take the new slimmed-down Porsche, Lamborghini and Aston Martin on a trans-continental jaunt to find the world's ultimate driving road. Meanwhile, Jeremy gets to grips with a 641bhp hot-hatch, built to mark the 30th year of the original VW GTi, fitted with Lamborghini brakes and a twin-turbo Bentley Continental GT engine. Only slightly more serene is a guest 'monarch', none other than Dame Helen Mirren, who puts in a truly spirited lap as the 'star in a reasonably priced car'.
Following a disastrous homemade amphibious car challenge, the Team tries again - this time building vehicles that must cross the English Channel to get to France! Jeremy samples a new Audi and drag races Richard Hammond in his own 911. Jazz/pop pianist, bandleader and television presenter Jools Holland is the Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.
In this fast-and-loose Top Gear, Richard races a Bugatti against the most advanced fighter jet on the planet, and Jeremy turns the corridors of BBC Television Centre into a test track for a 1963 micro-car. The latest dream cars: the 599 GTB Ferrari and the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead, are put through their paces in true Top Gear style, whilst veteran rock star Ronnie Wood becomes a Rolling Stone in a reasonably priced car.
Rush-hour London can be a nightmare if you're heading to City airport. The Team, including the Stig, race a Mercedes GL500, a speedboat, a bicycle and public transport - with surprising results. Richard also straps himself into an Aston Martin to race a rocket-powered German on roller-skates, and pop impresario Simon Cowell returns for another run around the test track - causing yet another upset.
Top Gear's inaugural Motorhome Grand Prix is a smash hit - although who won is anyone's guess. In an Alfa Romeo 159, James organises a race around the Humber estuary against a man in a rubber suit who crawls across the tidal sludge. Anyone who has seen 'Captain Slow' drive will be unsurprised by the result.
Top Gear gets nostalgic for British cars by purchasing three examples from British Leyland's heyday: a Rover SD1, a Triumph Dolomite Sprint and the Princess. The general feeling is it's not hard to imagine why the manufacturer went belly-up. Jeremy drives Aston Martin's replacement for the mighty Vanquish, the DBS, and Britain's funniest woman, Jennifer Saunders, becomes a national treasure all over again with a breathtaking flying lap behind the wheel of a reasonably priced car.
Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton pays a visit to the Top Gear test track, while Richard gets to grips with Renault's 2005 championship-winning R25 race car. Jeremy and James go in search of the granddaddy of today's automobiles at the National Motor Museum, agreeing that the Austin 7 is the true genesis of the modern motorcar.
Top Gear 'grows' its own fuel and enters the Britcar 24-hour endurance race with plenty of trackside action and laudable results. Jeremy brings the new Daihatsu Materia face-to-face with its natural rival - the 620bhp Ascari A10 - for a ridiculous head-to-head. Meanwhile, with the Fiat 500 reborn as a chic urban runabout for sexy young people, James May is inexplicably tasked with appraising this fashionable car whilst racing a bunch of extreme sports-types on pint-sized BMX bikes. No prizes for picking the winner...
In a noisy climax to Series 10, the Team attempt to choose the best German V8 super saloon from the BMW M3, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and the Audi RS4. Elsewhere, James May takes a ride in Jaguar's well-appointed XF saloon and is pleasantly surprised. Richard Hammond turns a humble G-Wiz electric car into every child's dream Christmas present and races it against the Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang and the Stig, while Dr Who star David Tennant swaps his TARDIS for a Chevrolet Lacetti and takes to the test track.
The North Pole has long been renowned for being difficult and dangerous to reach, no matter what transport you have. So what better challenge for the Top Gear team, as they embark on a mission to become the first people ever to drive a motor vehicle to the Magnetic North Pole. Starting in Canada, the boys pick up two special ‘vehicles’ they hope will take them all the way across the Arctic. Jeremy and James drive a specially modified 2006 Toyota Hilux, while Richard chooses a sled pulled by a team of Canadian Inuit dogs. Who, if anyone, will reach the North Pole first?
Beautiful, wild Botswana is characterised by its rugged terrain and hums with stunning yet dangerous wildlife. Jeremy, James and Richard are tasked with travelling across the country in second hand clapped-out cars. Will they race along like cheetahs or fall as flat as one of Botswana’s magnificent saltpans?
