Wild Weather

Wild Weather

We cannot predict it and we cannot control it. The weather is the breathing of the planet and the last truly wild thing on Earth. But how does it work?

To explain, Wild Weather takes a thrilling journey into the heart of the elements, hitching a ride with a hurricane, journeying into the eye of the storm, and flying with a droplet through the water cycle. Stunning footage and computer graphics re-create the unseen wonders of the world’s climate, visualising the formation of phenomena and taking a detailed look at the most exciting and dangerous forces of the weather.

From amazing locations around the planet, Wild Weather reveals a new perspective on Earth’s weather and explains the strange and almost unbelievable connections between weather conditions in totally different parts of the globe.

The episodes focus on wind, wet, cold and hot respectively. Without wind, the Earth would be full of extremes; it brings relief from heat but causes devastation through tornados and typhoons. Water is at the centre of all our weather, causing rain, storms, monsoons and floods. Cold is one of our deadliest enemies, bringing ice, frost, smog and avalanches. Heat is a mighty force that governs our climate, from powering hurricanes and sandstorms, to thunder and lightning.
